What is bike fitting?
We start by mapping your cycling goals, any complaints and previous injuries. An authorised physiotherapist, or an experienced bike fitter supervised by a physiotherapist, then carries out a physical examination of how your body can best sit on the bike. Finally, we analyse your position and biomechanics while you ride, using cameras that capture your body in motion, and saddle pressure measurement.
A bike fit takes 2.5 hours.
What makes a good bike fit
- Your body position matches the findings from the physical examination, based on both measurement data and the fitter’s knowledge and experience in bike fitting, biomechanics and health.
- The change should feel right to you. With larger changes, it can take a few rides over 3–4 weeks to get used to the new position.
- The changes give a more comfortable position over time.
